re-visiting narrative images

These are new narrative images i have produced after the feedback that i received during my final presentation. The images intend to give the viewer a stronger experience of what it would be like to be in the space.  With these images i wanted to integrate more textures and colour that represent the lap pools location (The Australian Bush). With the images i wanted to portray the contrast of textures that people would experience, Dry vs Wet.
As well as give the feel of what it would be like to experience a lap pool that is located in the australian bush.
I have integrated new people that show what one might be doing whilst using the Lap pool, as well as the areas i have designed around it, ie deck, ramps, seating.

plan

plan

Final narrative images, final plan, final sectional perspective

here are my final images.
I am reaonably pleased with the final outcome of each image. my narrative images clearly display the folding gestures i was hoping to achieve through my design. The narrative  images display how the ramps, seats and decking areas would be inhabited by people at the public pool.

I have completed a sectional perspective that shows the male changing room, as well as the public pools waiting area.
I have also done a sectional perspective to show different angles of the overall view of my design, the section shows how the pool sits within the land (returning to the land).

I have drawn my plan on drafting film that overlays the existing sites plan, in photoshop i have incorporated photos i have taken of my final models plan, and used them to overlay the drawing,  i believe this gives more information about the materiality of the plan of my final design. i then added details such as trees and the pool water.

starting points for narrative images

here are some images i have done to show the exterior views on my intervention.

with my narrative image i intend of showing the ramps that run along side the lap pool and the seating that folds away into the surrounding landscape.

narrative images drawings

i have drawn some Eucalyptus trees which i intend on putting into most of my narrative images, to show the surrounding nature.

i have also done another texture which i will use for the water of my pool

final concept design

After a lot of developments, i believe my final design is successful, it portrays my concept clearly of 'returning the building to the land' through the intervention of the pool.

I have extended the beams of the existing Ball-Eastaway house out and sloped and folded them according to the topography of the land.
The beams now created new surfaces for ramps that allow the inhabitant to walk along these 'folds'.
Seats that display the same language of 'folding' have been added to the very ends of the new intervention which peel away into their surroundings.

ramps and seats

i have added ramps and seats by 'peeling away at the existing deck', that follows the topography of the landscape.

the ramps have slight slopes leading you along the topography of the buildings site, and enabling you to walk amongst the surrounding bush.

individual seats provide an area for people to relax and look out into the Australian bush that surrounds the pool, each seat slopes back against the land and then extends out into it.
